Located in the heart of downtown Long Beach, Pacific Avenue is an important means of transportation and life for residents and visitors alike. As a frequent collaborator with Long Beach city, Commune was tasked with creating a series of street banners for this location. I got to lead the project with design and concept ideation: Pacific Avenue's primary role is transportation, a primary street that's lined with train and bus stops and easy freeway access. The idea of motion and movement became the leading principal, with a navigation arrow acting as the 'v', and alternating positions of graphic arrow elements designed to move along with you as you travel up the street.
